Priyojit Das Gupta

Priyojit did his Master’s in chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he worked on developing organic, metal-free photocatalysts for environmental and energy-related applications. At Texas A&M University, his research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of carrier-mediated ion transport across model lipid membranes. Outside the lab, Priyojit enjoys playing soccer and is passionate about reading detective novels.

Adam Witterstaetter

Adam obtained his undergraduate degree in chemistry with a concentration in forensic science from the University of North Texas. While there, he studied solubility characteristics of various organic molecules for use in pharmaceutical and material development. Adam’s current research at Texas A&M University focuses on the mechanisms and ordering of polyelectrolytes in a layer-by-layer assembly under the effects of temperature-based transitions. When not working in the lab, Adam enjoys golfing and cooking a variety of food.
